The short version: subscription charges are final, but you can cancel anytime and you'll keep Plus access through the end of the period you already paid for — we just don't prorate or refund the unused portion.

1. Summary

This policy covers ChoreHub Plus, our paid subscription tier. ChoreHub's free tier has no charge and nothing to refund.

2. Free trial

  • When we offer a free trial of ChoreHub Plus (currently 7 days), a payment method is required to start it, but you aren't charged during the trial.
  • When the trial ends, it automatically becomes a paid subscription at the monthly or annual price you chose, and your first charge is made, unless you cancel before the trial ends.
  • Cancel any time during the trial (see How to cancel) and you won't be charged; you keep Plus until the trial ends.
  • The first charge after a trial is a regular subscription charge, covered by the rest of this policy.

3. No refunds for past billing periods

All ChoreHub Plus charges — monthly or annual — are non-refundable once billed. This includes situations where you simply change your mind, forget to cancel before a trial ends or before a renewal, or use the Service for only part of a billing period. We recommend canceling before your trial ends or your renewal date if you don't plan to continue.

We may, at our sole discretion, make an occasional exception in unusual circumstances. An exception made once doesn't create an obligation to make it again, for you or anyone else.

4. Cancel anytime, no proration

  • You can cancel your ChoreHub Plus subscription at any time — there's no minimum commitment and no cancellation fee.
  • When you cancel, your subscription won't renew again, but you keep full Plus access through the end of the billing period you already paid for.
  • We don't prorate: canceling partway through a monthly or annual period doesn't generate a partial refund or credit for the unused time.
  • After your paid period ends, your household automatically reverts to the Free tier — your data isn't deleted, but Plus-only features (like Trusted Households and in-depth reports) become unavailable until you resubscribe.

5. How to cancel

You can cancel anytime in ChoreHub under Settings → Billing (on the web at app.chorehub.net; the Android app may send you there to manage your subscription), or through the Paddle customer portal linked in your receipt email. Cancellation takes effect immediately for future renewals; it does not cut off your current paid period or trial early.

6. Billing errors & unauthorized charges

If you're charged in error — for example, a duplicate charge, or a charge after you canceled — contact us at legal@chorehub.net with your account email and receipt, and we'll investigate and correct genuine billing mistakes. This is separate from, and doesn't change, our no-refund policy for regular subscription charges.

Charges you didn't authorize. Only a parent account can buy ChoreHub Plus; child profiles can't. If a purchase was made without your permission — for example, by a child using a parent's login or device, or by someone who got into your account — email us at legal@chorehub.net as soon as you notice, with your account email and receipt. We'll cancel the subscription and work with Paddle to review the charge. You can also contact Paddle directly through the link in your receipt email. We'd ask that you reach out to us or Paddle before disputing the charge with your bank, which is usually slower; your right to dispute a charge with your card issuer isn't affected. To prevent it happening again, change your password, keep it private from children, and consider turning on two-factor authentication in Settings → Account.

7. Statutory rights

ChoreHub Plus subscriptions are sold by Paddle.com Market Limited, acting as merchant of record, so Paddle's Buyer Terms apply to your purchase alongside this policy, and where they differ, Paddle's Buyer Terms prevail. Under them, Paddle may grant a refund at its own discretion, for example on a request made within 14 days of a purchase. In some jurisdictions (for example, under EU or UK consumer law), you may also have a statutory right to a refund or cooling-off period that this policy cannot override; Paddle handles those requests under applicable law. Nothing in this policy limits any right you have under law that cannot be waived.

8. Free tier

ChoreHub's Free tier is, and will always be, free to use for a single household — there's no charge and so nothing to return or refund.
